I had two more tournaments left on my schedule before I was leaving to Slovakia for the summer, Bay Oaks Charity Golf Open and Beaumont Open. School was over and I had nothing on my mind except golf. I felt more concentrated when I practiced and played but this was not able to make up for the practice time lost. Both tournaments were played in extreme heat and humidity. The conditions reminded me conditions that I experienced in Thailand when I played in a tournament there. Except the heat the conditions were great, plenty of sunshine and not so much wind.
Both of the two tournaments I started with a birdie on the first hole but after that I made few mistakes that I was not able to recover from. The second tournament I shot 76 the first round putting me 6 shots from the projected cut line. I had nothing to lose the second day and I started firing at every pin and it was working. I was five under par after my first 7 holes with five birdies. Now I was only one shot away from what turned out to be the cut. I played the same on my second nine holes but I had no putts drop and had one three putt. I finished the day with 67 couple shots away from getting into the weekend. Even though I did not make it into the weekend rounds, the second round was a good reminder for me of what I am capable of doing. I will try to carry over this positive energy to my next tournament rounds that will be in Slovakia.
