Right after the Czech PGA Tour event I started working on my swing with Maros Gajan. Recently I have not had a very good feeling about my swing technique. I felt like I needed to improve to produce more consistent results. Before I started working with Maros I went to quite few well known and established swing coaches abroad. None of them gave the feedback and sense of knowledge as Maros. Maros was not only able to tell me what needs improvement but he was also able to back track the original source of the problems. On top of that he was able to show me a wide variety of motoric exercises that I can do virtually anywhere to improve my technique. At the end, my multiple month search for a new swing coach ended up back in Bratislava, Slovakia. I am confident that Maros and I will be working together for a long time and will be able to accomplish many great things together.
Week after I returned from Tale I left to play in another Czech PGA Tour event. This time it was played at Golf Resort Paradise near Prague. Golf Resort Paradise is the longest golf course in Czech Republic and with more than 7500 yards it proved to be a challenge even for the best players in the field. During the first day of the tournament the weather was great, warm with only little breeze. My long game was on that game but I was not able to convert many opportunities on the greens. I shot 73 which put me in a tie for 13th place four shots behind the leader. Before the second and final round there has been severe weather in the area so the whole course became very moist, played even longer and even the wind direction was opposite compared to the first round. Just like first round I played very well and shot 73 again. One over par in these difficult conditions moved me up the leader board since everybody was struggling. I ended up tied for 6th place only three shots behind the leader.
My next tournament was GOLF REPORT pro-am. It was the best pro-am I have ever played in and I would recommend it to everyone. The organization of the tournament was excellent and all players and amateurs were well taken care of. What made this tournament even better for me was that I shot bogey-free 67 and finished first two shots ahead of Viktor Skale from Czech Republic. I have to give lot of credit for this result to Maros that has been working with me for last two weeks and I can already tell the difference in my game.
