Some time has gone by since my last blog. I have played in three events since then: Czech Open, a Slovak Pro Golf Tour event and an Alps Tour event. Unfortunately, my game has not been at its best during the week of Czech Open. I made many mistakes and was not able to get into a position to make many birdies. I felt little discouraged after the tournament since this was my second appearance at the Czech Open and I already knew what to expect.
Only few days after the Czech Open I played in a Slovak Pro Golf Tour event held at GC Schonfeld in Austria. The professional field was very competitive because multiple players played in this one day event on the way to the Alps Tour event in Austria. The course welcomed us with windy conditions and firm greens that made the course more difficult then usually. I was pleased with my game and shot two under par and won one shot ahead of Stanislav Matus, this year’s two time winner of the Czech PGA Tour.
Right after the Slovak Pro Golf Tour event I played in a Alps Tour event at Golf and Coutry Club Reiting. Alps tour is a satellite tour of the European Tour and I was playing in this event due to an invite from the Austrian Golf Association. This was a three day event with a cut after first two rounds. I opened the first day with two under par 69 and a tie for 18th place. Second day started the same way and I was four under par after my first seven holes. After that ran into some trouble on the course and finished with a 74 which put me right at the cut line. I was dedicated to make up for the lost ground the third day. I played really well but I was not able to shoot better than 69 again due to couple mistakes early on in the round. I finished the tournament with the total score one under par and tied for 32nd place. I am not playing in any more tournaments till the First Stage of European Tour Q-School that will be held at GC Schloss Ebreichsdorf 13.-16. September.
